Kompak Build Aircraft Carrier

Not for the Navy but for the bank manager.

This Kompak trailer looks very sleek and aerodynamic with a tail but will it fly? Not exactly but the light aircraft inside it will.

This Kompak light aircraft carrier was potentially fairly straight forward in principle. The aircraft, a Europa, has a wing span of a little over 8m and all up weight of approx 350 kgs so some fairly big, fragile and expensive pieces had to be stowed, not forgetting the loading ramps and winch. However the tricky bit was to make the whole lot legal behind an Vauxhall Astra!

After some considerable head scratching and a number of redesigns, we managed to pull everything together and deliver the aircraft carrier on time and on budget. So if you’re a Europa owner, you know where to come. The next one has to be easier!

    I own an Ikarus C42 microlight aircraft with wingfold and I am curenntly looking for a trailer to store and transport it.
    Can you give me some details of the trailer you built for the Europa ie internal dimensions etc and an indication of the cost.

    LOOKING FOR A N ENCLOSED TRAILER FOR A DYA ERO MCR-01 (SIMILIAL EUROPA) TIR WHEEL. CAN YOU HELP? HAD A LOOK AT TURNER TRAILERS THEIR SPACE SHUTTLE LOOKS NICE BUT NOT QUITE BIG ENOUGH AND THEY CAN NOT MODIFY> ANY,AY MEASUREMENTS OF AIRCRAFT. AT LEAST 8 FOOT INTERIOR (THIS IS TO CONTAIN THE UNDERGARRIAGE WHEEL SPATS) LENGHT OF AIRCRAFT 18 FOOT. HIGHEST POINT ON AIRCRAFT WHICH IS THE TAILPLANE 64 INCHES.
