Unusual Snack Bar Refit

Here at Blackburn Trailers we are used to getting unusual requests. After all, if you tell people that you can build them anything, folks tend to take you at your word! So we shouldn’t really have been surprised when we were asked to transform a Second World War American truck into a fully functional snack bar.

The truck in question had been in use for many years at Goodwood Motor Circuit as a snack bar but it was in need of a complete refit to bring it up to current health and safety regulations. Having been in active service for over sixty years, the old girl needed some tender love and attention which the owners knew she would get from our experienced vehicle refit team.

After carefully removing all of the old fixtures and fittings, we set about making sure Betsy (yes - we ended up giving her a name) was structurally up to the job. A little bit of sanding here, a spot of welding there and Betsy was ready for us to install a complete new interior including brand, spanking new catering equipment.

Betsy is now back in place at Goodwood so the next time you’re there, say hello to the old dear but don’t spill any coffee on the counter. It took us ages cleaning that!
